  The Brook Wellness Center was founded through a vision the Lord placed on the hearts of Stan and Rosie Robinson in 2007 while they were living in Texas. During a season of prayer and reflection, the name The Brook was revealed—rooted in 1 Kings 17:2–6, where Elijah found provision, safety, and nourishment by the brook as the ravens fed him there. This Scripture became a symbol of what The Brook would one day represent: a place where people could encounter hope, love, and restoration.

In 2013, the Lord called Stan and Rosie to take a leap of faith and move to Branson, Missouri. On June 4, 2018, The Brook Wellness Center was born—a ministry grounded in covenant with the Lord and dedicated to serving individuals and families with compassion, dignity, and excellence. Christ is the foundation of The Brook, and we honor His teachings by upholding the highest standards of conduct, integrity, and service. As under‑shepherds of His ministry, we expect all who work within The Brook to reflect these values in their words, actions, and relationships.

At the same time, The Brook Wellness Center embraces a trauma‑informed approach in all aspects of our work. We recognize that many individuals—clients and staff alike—have experienced adversity, stress, or trauma in their lives. Because of this, we strive to create an environment where every person feels safe, respected, valued, and supported. Our policies and practices are designed to promote emotional and physical safety, build trust, encourage collaboration, and empower individuals on their journey toward healing.

We believe that excellence in ministry and excellence in trauma‑informed care go hand in hand. By honoring Christ’s teachings and integrating trauma‑informed principles, we create a place where people can experience renewal, growth, and transformation.
